Frank’s Place is a journey to the golden era of the 1950s. Under Chef Robert Santomenno Wallace, Italian-American cooking honors the elegance of Frank Santomenno.
The House
The story begins with Frank Santomenno, an Italian American who arrived in Panama in the 1960s and became part of the country’s soul. A visionary, he brought computers and cable television to Panama, and in 1975 founded REPROSA Treasures of Panama.
His grandson, Chef Robert Santomenno Wallace, honors that spirit at the stove. Dine in the main salon or on the pet-friendly terrace.
The Kitchen
Recipes passed through the Santomenno kitchen — baked pasta, shrimp scampi, and Hollywood meatballs.
Rigatoni in creamy pink house sauce, pancetta butter, vodka, garlic, and onion.
Spaghetti in creamy sautéed shrimp and citrus butter, with heat, finished with a prawn.
Two giant meatballs in pomodoro and creamy mozzarella, gratinéed. Made to share. House bread.
The Set
An original 1953 Harley-Davidson — Uncle Archie’s — stands in the room. Hollywood portraits line the walls. The waitstaff dress vintage. You half expect another Frank to walk in singing “My Way.”
The city’s main stage: linen, low light, and a room built for a long dinner.
Archie’s motorcycle, on display — the soul of the 1950s in chrome.
An exclusive terrace for guests who bring their dogs.
